Overview

StreetSpace is a youth project working with young people aged 11-24 in Thornbury and surrounding areas. We are committed to building good relationships with young people, strengthening their resilience to face challenges, and seeking opportunities for young people and the wider community to engage with each other.

Our street-based ‘detached’ team and community-based mentoring provision is enabled through fantastic volunteers. We also host the annual ‘Skate Fest’ and are happy to work collaboratively with others to provide the best opportunities and signposting for young people. Past work has included drugs information workshops, sexual health advice and art groups.

Our work is motivated by our Christian faith but we work inclusively with people of all beliefs and none. All our staff and volunteers have undergone an enhanced DBS (police) check and work according to Child Safeguarding policy.
